Windows Live Messenger - Bogus messages

  olyman 10:42 23 Aug 2008

I keep receiving messages that I have logged in on another computer and to sign in again. I don't have another computer!
It would seem that someone has hi-jacked my identity and is sending out false messages relating to some site which purports to tell you if you are blocked by someone. I am also getting similar messages from contacts who haven't sent them.
Has anyone else got this problem?
How best to deal with it?

Hi, yes iv,e been getting these from a contact who appears offline saying they had sent photos and to sign into a site with a smiley face on it, i looked up details on that page and found out it,s a phishing site, also getting alot of attachments in yahoo from so called parcel companys, which are viruses i found out, you have to be careful.

Glad I'm not alone.
I think I'll have to message my contacts to tell them that messages they get may not be from me and not to open any links.
Not had any parcel links.
I get a lot of messages asking if they can be contacts. I always bin them - they are not very subtle as the title is a string of random letters.
