Windows Journal Viewer - Why does it install??

  [DELETED] 21:33 18 Dec 2003

Windows XP Home.

Can anyone tell me why Windows Journal Viewer insists on installing about once a week?

I never use it.

I can't SEE a use for it.

I even removed it but it reinstalled itself on the next reboot...

I wouldn't mind but it also insists on occasionally installing when I'm in the middle of something else...

It even installs when its already installed....

Have you installed Adobe 6 recently , apparently this tries to install Windows Journal Viewer , has it fully installed itself ?

Had Adobe 6 installed since it was released!

The WJV is fully installed but i can't see any use for it. Occasionally it throws up the Install Wizard and then opens WJV for no reason.

Well there is a use for it:

"This accessory allows people who do not have a computer running Windows XP Tablet PC Edition to view files that were created in Microsoft Windows Journal on a Tablet PC".

From WU under Windows XP.

If its reinstalling itself, hmmm...tricky one!
