Windows Installer EVERY TIME!

  cozza101uk 10:33 30 Jun 2007

Every time I boot up my laptop, windows installer starts and tries to install something. It can't and gives the message about inserting the CD etc.

This all stems from some old DVD/CD viewer application which I used and then aborted halfway through.

Ever since, it attempts to install this software that it does not have.

any idea how I can stop these annoying messages that I have to cancel repeatedly before it loads up the desktop properly?

Load the software from the CD then uninstall it

I don't have the CD! I've no idea where it came from.

You might want to use this to clean it up :click here

If you have CCleaner, use the Issues tab to clean up unwanted installers etc.
