Windows firewall error

  [DELETED] 20:41 01 Jun 2006

If I try to change windows firewall settings via Security Center or any windows links, I get the error "Due to an unidentified problem, Windows cannot display Windows Firewall settings". This started occuring a few days ago, and so I installed McAfee personal firewall to keep myself protected.

I think the windows firewall is blocking some programs from accessing the Internet and is also blocking people on my network from accessing my shared printer and files (which do need to be shared), but since I can't turn it off I'm stuck.

Are there any known causes/solutions to this problem that anyone here knows?

Thanks in advance, Jack Murray.

1. Click Start, click Run, type Firewall.cpl, and then click OK.
2. On the General tab, click Off (not recommended), and then click OK.
