Windows Disc Defragmenter

Although I have modified the schedule, when I re-enter Disc Defragmenter the " next schedule run " says " never " Also it does not run a defrag! ( except manually )
Any idears why ?

Windows defrag takes far to long.I would go with mymate and download his click here.It takes less than 10 minutes.

Thanks for all replies.
But is anyone else having problems with the scedule ?
I modify the scedule but then it does not run as per scedule !

I wouldnt bother using the Windows one ,dont worry if it doesnt seem to do a schedule. Use another program.

I dont know anyone that uses the Windows disk defragment or Windows firewall.

For Windows Defragmenter to work, all other programs have to be turned off, which includes things like Screensavers. That's why I don't think that you will be successful Scheduling it.

Defragmenting my 250GB Drive with over 100GB contents, takes less than 10 minutes

Mind you, I do do it once a week.

The first run on a heavily fragmented drive can take hours. I've seen it take over 6 hours on a drive that had not been touched for over 2 years.
