When i turn on my computer it is asking for a user name and password. I have tried my user name and password but it wont accept it. Does anyone know what the problem is? I have tried putting windows disk back in but doesnt register!

Reboot your computer and then press f8 just after the bios (i just press every second or so) to start safe mode. Load the administrator account and remove your accounts password.

Remove it the same way you would modify it in the control panel.

When it comes up do you have the option to cancel? if so choose it and see what happens, don't fill in name or password. This happens to me on occasion and it works for me.

Yes i have the option to cancel but it is greyed out so wont let me do it.

Sorry I think you may have to try that in safe mode.
