windows 98se---ie6 problem

On login in to internet,a window appears stating that internet explorer has encounted a problem and will be closed down.On closing this window the connection continues as normal.Any answers ?

Uninstall and then reinstall...usually solves a software problem.

Just go to Add Remove programs double click Mirosoft Internet Explorer, choose repair

reinstalled everything from fdisk,ok now

I carried out all previous sugestions,went well for a time,then trouble returned.I even tried Firefox and thunderbird,but I had problems with that as well,so returned to IE,as I at least am familiar with that.
ps.after cancelling error message,everything works fine.

Have you tried the System File Checker??
Go to Start/ Run type SFC in the box then click OK.
You may need your Windows CD to replace any missing or corrupt System Files.

I finished up going back to Netscape as I was fed up mending IE

Thank you all for trying,I think I will follow woodchips advice,and try netscape.
