When I change the settings to display a higher resolution eg:256. The computer says reboot for changes to take effect but on reboot its back to what it was before. The correct adapter is installed and it was working fine before on 256.Any advice welcome as everything is now blurred.

Is 256 the highest resolution you have to choose from, or can you go to 16 or 24 colour setting?

I can go from 16 to 256 to high colour, but on reboot goes back to 16.

It sounds as if the driver for your graphic card has a corrupt file. Do you have a driver, probaly on a CD?

To re-install, right click on your desktop and choose properties, then from the display tab choose settings, then advanced, then adaptor, then properties again, then click on the "Driver" tab.

You will see the choices you have from there. Once you have re-installed the driver you should be able to use High colour, and your display will be fine. j.

Hi, In a case like this always check your 'Device Manager'. If you have Yellow exclamation marks against any entries, Take it as read , Your drivers are not properly installed. You now have 3 choices, 1) Uninstal and let Windows re-instal the drivers. 2) Re-instal using the supplied disc or 3) Visit the appropriate web site and download the required driver. Cheers and Good luck. Bill
