I need to reinstall windows 98 but I have lost the PIN code. I've heard that the code can be found in a file somewhere- but where?

Aida will tell you click here

The Berlac advisor will tell you all of your system information including your codes

But you need to be able to get into windows to use them

Belarc gives you the Software Licence codes, not the Product Key which you need for a re-install. Aida does - in the left pane click the + next to Operating System then click on Operating System.

VoG™, Mine shows my win98 code (Bkrbb etc) under Product Licences

Mine doesn't. I may have an out of date version - if so I apologise.

In any case Aida is better than Belarc - you should try it. I was amazed when I did.

Regards.

VoG™, I have just downloaded and had a quick look at it and soon found my win98 code. It looks brilliant so I shall go and have a play.
Thanks a lot
