I am still using, AND very happy doing so, Office 2000. I am running XP and use all the progs in Off 2000 including Access and Outlook. Are there any issues installing Off 2000 on a Windows 7 system ? Asking cos after 9 years it`s time for a new PC I`m afraid.
googling seems to suggest problems even in xp mode and xp mode is only included in pro and ultimate.looking at the windows 7 compatibility center it says the office 2000 publisher is offering a paid upgrade to a compatible version
That`s good news. Where do I get this compatibility pack ? To Falkyrn .. did you install this compatibility pack ? Do you use all the Off2000 programs inc. Access + Outlook ? Ta very much for these responses all.
Sorry all, I found this compatibility pack at Microsoft site BUT I`m a bit confused. This pack lets Me (as an Office 2000 user ) open for example word docs created in the Office 2007 xml format. That really wasn`t my query. Just need to know can I install ALL my Office 2000 progs on a Win7 system and experience no difficulties with reading or creating my own Office files?
I have Office 2000 installed on my Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit laptop and have no problems with Word, Excel, Publisher etc.
Install your Office 2000 on Win 7 system and enjoy.
The Office Compatibilty pack enables user to open Office 2007 files in earlier Office versions. My Windows 7 system came with the Compatibility Pack pre-installed. For my Vista system I downloaded it from MS web site.
