Windows 7 installation sound problem

  Munchkin 12:25 29 May 2010

I have just done a clean install of Windows 7 which went without hiccup with the exception of a minor teething problem. I am getting a notification on the task bar informing me that "No audio output device is installed". To the best of my knowledge the sound on my computer is "on-board". Is the driver for this not compatable with Windows 7? Do I need to install a separate sound card installed on the mother board? or can the existing on-board drivers be updated on-line?

Have you install;ed the drivers anyway from your original motherboard software disk?

If it doesn't work, go to motherboard website, and download new drivers.

You should then be OK
