  RobCharles1981 22:55 10 Dec 2019

Hello all I'm wondering if any of you have had this problem I'm getting?

First of all my Specs: Windows 10 Pro Corsair 750watt PSU Fractal F5 Case AMD Ryzen 5 2600 MSI B450 Motherboard 16 DDR Memory AMD R9390 Graphics Card Creative Z Audio Card 2 SSD's and 3 HDD's

The Problem I'm getting on random occasions are random slow performance I Shut down My Computer then Restart and it takes an age to get back to desktop which is driving me around the bend, I unplugged my External HDD's sometimes it works and often it doesn't. Then What happens one my Drives "goes off line" then I have to reconnect the Cables to the drive in order for it to be "seen again" Any ideas what's going on here?

Many thanks Rob

What Drives do have that are actually built into your PC, what size are they and how full are they?

I have 2 SSD's One 120gg and the Other 500gig Both of these are not full.

Could be that it needs a reboot and not a shutdown then boot. This ensures that everything is loaded fresh unlike a soft boot you get with fast startup enabled.

Hi X13,

I don't think it will.

You won't know until you try it. Do you have fast start up enabled?

Is the Drive, from which your PC boots, within 20% of being full. For that matter, are any of them within that parameter.

No Wee Eddie, There is plenty of space available.

Disable fastboot as previously stated and retry.

No Still appears to be the same problem. I ran Chkdsk on the Said Drive and it picked up Bad Sections and not able to fix. Anyone know of a tool?

I got a new hard drive in an attempt to copy the data across using my Docking Station but when I'm trying to copy the data from the old drive and onto the new drive I'm getting a "0x800701B1" error any ideas?

Took out the Drive from my case and slapped it in my docking station so I have two drives, attempted to copy data appeared ok then the Station Disconnected?
