Win98 CDROM driver

I have installed WIN98 SE2 on a modern laptop, needing to run some ancient software. How do i transfer the CDROM driver from the 98 boot disk to the C:.

At the moment i have got the OS running, but i am unable to access a CD due to the lack of a driver.

Win98se should load drivers for it. But if its a DVDRW OR CDRW you will need to load something like NERO to burn Discs as it will load the correct driver. Also check BIOS to Detect the Drive. If its in BIOS then it will be as above. You need to load a Burning Driver.
Thats why I still use 98se dual booted with XP home on another Drive
