can win95 be upgraded to win 98se using a full version of win98se

I believe so, but the easiset way would be to try it!

I do not believe you will be able to get a upgrade disc now, you would have to get a full version. And do a complete reinstall.

You should be able to find an upgrade disc on Ebay or at a Computer show, but, with the full disk costing circa £30, why bother with upgrades.

Hi philal. I have found that it's best to backup all the important data, format the hard drive and make a fresh installation of Windows 98. That way you remove all the accumulated rubbish on the computer and everything runs so much better.

I have done it and had no problems whatsoever. The upgrade was in an effort to cure a driver problem and it solved this and also provided much better plug and play operation and also usb support. Go for it.
