Win7 Updates so many.

Getting used to Win7 now after XP, but there seems to be a never ending stream of updates, always in groups of three, an almost daily event.

Is everyone using Win7 getting the same?

Part of my updates list

Thanks - I did wonder about that. Anyway, as you say, I do have more control now.

I was just presented with a small window at bottom of my screen advising me that more updates are available - I just ignored it.

Will see how it goes over the next few days.

They will keep presenting until you ask them to stop.

I have turned off auto-updates.

The problem with turning off Automatic Updates is that you won't be offered anything. It would be best to set it to:

Notify me but don't automatically download and install them.

Then select the three offending updates and stop them being offered again.

OK - I will take your advice.

There are so many updates on win7 that they probably take up more space on you drive than the operating system itself.

My settings are Not to update any, and I have never had any problems because of it.

So many updates would indicate the poor design of the operating system. They should have learnt from past experiences, but it seems not.

Thats my oppinion anyway.
