Hi everyone

Win2K will not boot. Giving blue screen but not enough time to read it and will not pause(something like MFT records corrupt 0x7ce and/or 0xa97). I do not have a recovery disk but i do have access to another PC running Win2K. Could i recover using files from it?
I do have the original Win 2K cd - recovering from that, what would be the process? I do not want to lose my hard drive.

Thanking you in advance of any help

Try the repair option:

boot from w2k disc, choose install, choose install again, then select os ad choose repair. You'll have to reinstall all updates.

If this does't kick start it have you another partition to istall w2k on, then you can save data.
