WIN XP Movie Maker - Video Speed

Can anyone help.

Have just completed a movie in Windows Movie Maker. From the timeline in the project, there was clearly 4 mins 5 seconds of video, and so I chose an audio track of that length to fit.

However, having rendered the video and then watched playback in Win Media Player, the video is now 4mins 57 secs, i.e. extending 50 secs past the end of the audio track. It's as if the entire video is playing at a slower speed.

Why is this, and what is the answer ?

Thanks
