win ME taskbar locked in wrong position

A friend called to say that she could not move her taskbar which had 'inexplicably' moved to the rh side of her screen and was locked there, I tried all the usual things, it would not drag but could be expanded. Re-booted into Safe mode and it put the bar back at the bottom of the screen, went back to normal mode and all OK. Don't know why but this thread may help some-one with a similar problem

Right click any where on the task bar and select unlock, then drag it using the left mouse button to the bottom of the screen...

No STREETWORK that didn't work, as I said I tried all the usual things, the system was Win ME and common sense solutions did not work which was why I posted the thread thinking that it would help newbies, some of whom have never heard of or used F8 and F1

This thread is now locked and can not be replied to.
