Win 98 to Win 98 se

  [DELETED] 21:29 15 Dec 2003

I have Win 98, but need to upgrade to Win 98 SE, because of a CD-writer problem. However, it needs a special upgrade disk for Win 98. I cannot find this anywhere. Does anyone know where I can get this disk. Thanks, tom.

I heard that Microsoft was giving free copies of this upgrade disk at one point.

Windows98SE will become "obsolete" only in the fact that Microsoft will no longer issue updates, critical or otherwise, or offer support; you will still be able to use the OS and download earlier updates from MS's Windows98SE home page.

Why that link? It won't upgrade 98 to 98SE.

Well, it used to a couple of years ago. I don't run 98 any more but I assume it will still work.

It still works (it works on my XP PC) but what do you think it'll do?
