Win 7 Safe Mode?

  Marko797 12:25 20 Jun 2010

Have just updated grfx drivers, now my desktop won't boot into Win7. Have tapped F8 but this just gives me bios page, and not the option of booting into safe mode. Anyone know how to get into safe mode please?

i was trying to do system restore to get back to the time before the grfx drivers were installed.

Have you tried tapping F5?

seems it's F5 then F8.

It is F8 for Windows 7

as mentioned, tried that, didn't work. F5 then F8 was the solution (Win7 Pro)

It is F5 on my machine (Win 7) or alternatively F8 to bring temporary boot order change screen then F8 again for safe mode.

Thanks chaps - you are right F5 then F8 - never had to use it myself (not on Win 7 anyway) so I could have been tapping away at F8 all day. Even the "brilliant windows 7" manual makes no mention of this - says to press and hold F8
