Win 7 & Mouse

More an observation than a question if anyone has an comments please?

Been trying to find out why my mouse would not scroll.

My new laptop (Win 7 64 bit) came with two IE 8 icons, One is labelled 64 bit the other is standard 32 bit.
Have just found that the scroll wheel works OK in standard IE but in 64 bit IE it only works on some sites.
On PCA it does not scroll at all.
The buttons always work on any configuration.
Thanks for looking.

Only a guess, 'cos I am still with XP - but, it probably means that your actual installed OS is the 32bit version. I would not think it was possible to have both 32bit and 64bit working at the same time.

No its a brand new HP widescreen Pavilion and as (I am told) most laptops are now comes with Win 7 64 bit.
IE Explorer 8 is preinstalled but has as I said two choices.
Found most of my original programs in fact only one is a problem with no 64 bit drivers available.
This is to do with Satellite Receiver programming and has caught some hobbyists out with their nice new laptops.
So the mouse is my only other changeover problem but it is fine if the old IE is used.
