This laptop will do everything you have asked for, it won't do it as swiftly as others with larger memory and faster processors but it will let you watch YouTube, go on Facebook, Skype and listen to music as well as writing documents. For the latter you will have to buy a copy of Word or use one of the free versions you can find on the web. If you read the comments on the Amazon page most of the complaints are that it does not have a DVD drive and there are very few complaints about the actual performance. You can buy an external DVD drive for £25 to £30 from Amazon that plugs into a USB port.
