Wifi signal range recently decreased dramatically

Hello everyone. I have a D-link AC1200 dualband gigabit router that I have bought last month. After I was done with the set up everything went great for the first 2 weeks. It was covering the entire house at maximum speed. Recently though, I encountered some issues regarding the strenght of the signal. It was really sudden and the only place I can get maximum signal speed is the router room. This only happens on my gaming laptop and only when its connected to this one. The other pc's work great and have no other issues. However when I try to connect to other wifi's with my gaming laptop, it works normally. It only happens with this combo of my laptop and this wifi and I don't know why. I am desperate for help as I am not able to even watch movies if I am not in the router room and it sucks.

You could try changing the band that your laptop is using. Try - right click on network icon in taskbar - choose Network and Sharing Centre - Select change adapter settings - find your wifi connection and right click - choose Properties - Configure - Preferred Band - OK
