Wi-fi long range repeater for holiday use

Hi, I’m off on holiday soon and the hotel I’m staying at has a few ‘free wifi zones’ but do not offer Wi-fi in its rooms. Could I use a long range directional aerial connected to a repeater? To maybe bring the signal to my room?

Not sure about that. Do you have a smartphone that can be tethered/used as a mobile hotspot? If you do this remember that you will be using your data allowance. Have you thought about buying a wifi dongle? Sometimes hotels actually have an ethernet connection in the rooms but no wifi. Have you checked?
