my mum has a laptop and we do not know if her hi-grade laptop bought approx 2 years is capibable of wireless internet.
she has 150kb ntl broadband,we phoned them, they have not a clue even how to set it up,even if her laptop is up to standard.
is there a website to check this out,or can you peps advise.

CPU must be 300mhz or above.

Why must it be 300 Mhz or above?

Please explain as I was thinking of buying a Wi-Fi PCMCIA card for my old laptop, which is well below that spec.

its the minimum spec for most wi-fi equipment

Shame. Looks like I'll just have to go and buy myself a new laptop. :)
