why do i have un plug my usb mouse every time i reboot. its only happened recently i have to un plug it and stick it back in to make it work.
also is there any progs i can use that will load a usb mouse so an early 98 boot prog will work with it. without me haveing to to swap mouses`s

Try refreshing your USB ports, this is done by uninstalling everything under the heading USB in device manager rebooting and letting windows find new hardware.

You need to make sure that USB for DOS and USB legacy is enabled in the BIOS.

Go into BIOS and disable USB legacy item, Worked for me

Perhaps your bios has defaulted. One of the settings may be to boot from other devices or from usb device.

It may be trying to boot from your mouse.

Just a thought.
