why are games lagging on my pc?

hello new here :) so im starting to wonder why my pc is lagging through games. right now battlefield1 is my main concern. i seem to be just about able to run bf1 in LOW settings , any higher and we start getting some tearing and massive frame loss. i updated my graphics card and RAM two months back and theres a big difference from i used to run , but now after upgrading from being told what to upgrade i still can not run games any higher then a low setting. what more needs to be done? a better motherboard? more cores? will an SSD actually make my games run faster? or does that just support faster load times? so here is my setup:

Radeon Software Version - 17.1.1 Radeon Software Edition - Crimson ReLive Graphics Chipset - AMD Radeon R9 200 Series Memory Size - 2048 MB Memory Type - GDDR5 Core Clock - 1150 MHz Windows Version - Windows 10 (64 bit) System Memory - 16 GB CPU Type - AMD A8-6600K APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 3.90 Ghz ( never overclocked )

i have a love in gaming and want to start a career through youtube , so running a recording studio program and recording in high / ultra is what i am trying to achieve. [ i cant do this without extreme lag ] hope someone can help me thanks!!

p.s i recently came into some money ( £1000 ) , so if im looking to upgrade , please tell me what i should be looking for and the general cost. thank you.

Does your pc meet the minimum specs? Bf1 requires quite a high spec machine

Could it be your internet connection isn't up to it? Your specs seem reasonable. I have no experience with online games though.
