Running Win XP Pro and recently notice a large number of errors in the System section of the Event viewer telling me that Remote Access Connection Manager failed to start. I have never utilised this program and wonder if anyone can give me any guidance on what is does or how to stop it running. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks. RDG.

It creates a connection to a remote network. Its easy to turn off but it will take the built in firewall with it as well as Internet connection sharing. If you want to get rid then go to control panel and open administrative tools then click services, you will find the RACM, double click it and choose disable.

Chris
Thanks for the info. What I don't understand is why this suddenly should have come up. I have a network with three computers and that is all working fine. I also share an Internet connection but that is through a Router. Also have Norton Firewall so it sounds as if I could disable. Much appreicate any other comments.
Many Thanks. RDG.
