Which ones better?

I was going to get a norton bundle which contained the norton virus 2003 and the norton personal firewall. I have been advised to instead get the McAfee version of the antivirus and personal firewall software. which one do you all think is better?

Thanks in advance

Why waste money? Get AVG and Zonealarm free.

nav 2003 is excellent... get that and go with zonealarm

AVG is okay but NOT GREAT. If you send/receive a lot of emails, or surf a lot okay will not cut it in the long term. Sooner or later you'll get a virus/trojan that AVG won't catch.

I agree with Ravin, a bought AV such as NAV 2003 or McAfee + a free firewall, Zonealarm, Sygate or Tiny.
