I want to upgrade my graphics card but I am unsure what to buy.My system details are below:

Asus A7V333(AGP x4)
Athlon XP1400
256Mb DDR 2700 (Crucial)

Is there a card that would suit my system better than another.

AndreP, if you go back to the Crucial site, and use the memory configuration for your sys. it will also recommend some graphic cards.

These are Crucial's own cards, but if you prefer to choose a different make, at least it will guide you as to the model No. and chip-set that is best for your M/Board/memory.

You can stick any card in that board (Generally).

having searched a bit, I think Iam interested in the Geforce 4 Ti 4200 or the Radeon 9500 which is the better card and WHY?

can get a Geforce 4Ti 4200 128MB from click here for £140

I know that you have ticked the resolved box but there was a review of a Ti4200 and Radeon 9500 card in a recent edition of PC Advisor.

The Ti4200 was slightly better in terms of frame rates but the drawback is that it did not support DirectX9. The Radeon also offered better image quality.

I could be wrong but I believe that none of the Goforce 4 cards support DX9 although it may be a while before games are released that require it for maximum effect.

Hope this helps
