As the subject line says, I'm looking for a 250Gb HD to add a second HD to my main PC.

Any suggestions/recommendations?

Cheers

That it's an E-IDE drive that I'm after, not a SATA one.

As Chezdez says, just make sure its a 7200 rpm one with the larger 8mb buffer, don't go for the slightly cheaper 2mb buffer one.

Agree with Totally-braindead, you get what you pay for. For the sake of a couple of £'s the higher spec one will give the best performance 7200rpm should be a minimum for any hdd with today's pc's and the higher the buffer the better the performance.

Agree with Chezdez. Maxtor being my current favourites.
