where's my memory going?

Running windows 98se, 512 mb Ram, 128mb graphics card, when I do system check under min98 shows 80% resource free, under AVG system check get 511 mb memory with 346 mb free.

If I use progs like kazza etc for a while then even more is used.

Have been into startup via msconfig and stopped as many progs running on bootup as poss but even after fresh bootup still get these numbers.

What is taking the memory up? seems a high level just for Kerio, AVG, task scheduler and no-ads to be in system tray.

You dont have a problem stop worrying, all the stuff you have loading at boot including windows 98 is probably doing 80MB up. Windows 98 on its own uses about 70MB of RAM, the more you put in the less it will resort to VM and the more it will use up physical memory.
