my laptop has thrown up a file that I dont recognise.
when looking on task manager there was a file running "afogb.exe" later it popped up asking for access to the internet - which i denied
I have run a scan which is clear
it is in a folder which is called "xiyvdu" but i cant locate the folder
could this be a virus or a trojan?

All ready had done :(.
Possibly this 'tickling fetish' site leaves some rubbish, not necessarily malicious, but annoying files and folders on the PC.
Possibly Spybot S&D might handle this one.

Try a system restore back to before you noticed this file.

Try sas portable, copy to disc or flash drive. Reboot to safe mode (without internet connection) and run the full scan.
