  Giggle n' Bits 13:14 10 Feb 2006

can someone tell me what the differences are apart from the Name between Windows XP Home v Windows XP Pro.

Why is there XP Pro on the Market what's so special about it ? Does it work better ? This is what I am asking myself but more bothered about the differences.

To be honest, XP-Pro only seems to me to be of use for corporates as it has enhanced Networking facilities. Personally, I see litle point in looking at this & choose XP Home each time.

Looks like staying with XP Home is the winner, I had a feeling that Windows XP had better support for Althon 64 Bit Processors but only for dual CPU's.

If you require the networking and security enhancements in XP Pro then it is very worthwhile.

Will leave that to my Internet security software now I have bought it.
