What's the difference between RAM and mhz?

Hi, I am probably going to buy a macbook with 1gb of Ram and 2,160 MHz. Which is the factor that reflects the speed and would this be enough for downloading music and more importantly movies?

Both a computer's RAM and its processor speed (MHz) will determine it's overall speed.

Both figures in your post should be good for downloading but you will also need a good broadband connection speed; especially for movies.

RAM is is the pc's memory not to be confused with hard drive space (GB),which is storage space. MHz is processing power.

Imagine yourself siting at a desk working on some paper work. MHz is your brain working, RAM is the paperwork that you are working with, and GB is the filing cabinet.

The bigger/quicker your brain (MHz) the faster you can do your work

The more RAM you have the more paper work you can have on your desk.

The bigger your filing cabinet (GB)the more you can store.
