... oem and retail? As a newbie pc builder, I fancy having a go at building a base unit. The spec I'm looking at is P4 2.4 on a Gigabyte 8SQ800 board, 9500 Pro, 512 MB of PC400, 80Gb HDD, DVD player, XP Pro, 5.1 speakers. I reckon I can get the lot for less than £700, but I believe that's based on so-called retail prices (apart from XP oem). Don't know if that's a good price or not, but maybe it can be reduced somewhat by using oem products... whatever they are? Help would be appreciated by anyone please!

Thanks,
brewersfan

Thanks for all that info. It appears that all I'd be needing is any necessary cables, and some way of fixing the drives to the case?
