I have a PDA which can use either MMC/SD cards. What is the difference, it looks that SD's are cheaper than MMC, but is there much if at all any speed difference between the two?

Cheers

Secure Digital cards are encrypted and are a development of MultiMedia Cards - they are unlikely to be cheaper than MMC versions, although the gap has closed over the past couple of years.

In the majority of cases SD and MMC cards are compatible - in digital cameras for example - but it's not written in stone. Check with the device's manual.
