What Type Of Router?

I have 2 desktops (& will soon have 4) with various Win OS's on partitions (98, XP Home, XP Pro, Vista Ult - all with ZA). I can use KVM switches & data transfer cables to run them together but just 1 external modem using narrowband dial-up.

In the past I've used a crossover cable to network 2 PC's but can't get that working right now.

My aim is to get any 2 (or more?) connected to the internet at the same time. Can anybody suggest what type of router I might use - preferably without the need to change a lot of firewall and connection settings?

Cheers

Are you planning to get DSL or ADSL broadband at any point? If so get a suitable router, £35 or so.
If not you can use a hub or switch and enable ICS on one machine. The downside is that the sharing machine must be on for other machines to be able to access the net. click here
