To be honest I have never had a problem with Epson printers and have got a RX500 which has served me well for a few years now using compatible cartridges .
I suggest you research the price of cartridges for the printer you want before you buy it and make your decision then .
I am about to buy a new printer soon because I would like to go wireless but the Epson RX500 still works fine .
The makes I am looking at are Epson or Canon because the print head is in the printer not in the cartridges which makes replacements more expensive !!
Some members to have the print head in the cartridge and replace it each time !!
