What photo editing software?

  Ridleyrider 09:43 07 May 2004

I'm after some software (free if possible) that will allow me to reduce the size of a lot of photos on my hard drive all at the same time (rather than one by one).

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Download from here click here

For retouching photos, however, you would need PhotoPlus 5.5 from click here

If you just want to resize photo files, you can download PowerToy for WinXP from Microsoft. Even you have other software, Powertoy is still wroth to get.

Irfanview suggested above is excellent. Other good free ones: Photoshop Album 2.0 Starter Edition click here, HP Memories Disc Creator click here

The excellent free photo editing package Gimp click here (someone would say as good as some products cost a few hundreds.)

Sorry about that. Not exactly free, but you could perhaps try a 30 day full functioning trial Ulead product download from click here

Or perhaps a free PhotoPlus 5.5 from click here

PIXresizer (free) will do individual or batch file reductions as required:

A do-it-all program that is simple to use, and very good considering it's free.

I use this one it's free click here but I think you have to upgrade to the paid-for version to do batches. HTH TR
