I have Just got BB and im confused about up upstream/downstream i have 288 up and 576 down shouldnt they be the same up and down ?

No that is correct. Your upload speed is half your download speed.

i forgot to add that even on a 1Meg line the upload is still 288 on most ISP's.

A similar principle applies to dialup.

There is an explanation click here But basically the 'A' in ADSL stands for 'Asymmetric' meaning the two half?s 'Upload' & 'Download' are not Symmetrical or different. It's the same for everyone, getting a faster 1meg or 2 meg connection often still gives you the low 256 ish speed upload, that?s the way God designed it for some reason, & who are we to argue.

Going to have to stop using Opera to post on here.

Are you reading the speed from the taskbar icon? That's not the true speed. You need a speed test site. Anyone know the best one these days?

Heres the one I was looking for click here
