What is ISO in Nero?

Hi, Can someone enlighten me as to the above? Is it something to do with multiple sessions? Thanks.

It's an "image" of the CD. It's compatible with other CD writing software so you can read in one program and write in another. I think ISO's are read in RAW mode so you get an exact replica of the CD.
