What is Hi-Speed USB?

  ened 17:34 29 Aug 2007

I want to buy an external Hard Drive but it says the interface is:Hi-Speed USB.

Will it work on my machine running XPpro and USB2?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but all I could find on Google was that I might need a pci card.

Hi-speed USB = USB2.0

It will work fine. Should read and write @ about 17Mb/s

Many thanks for your quick responses.

You will only need a PCI card if you have run out of USB slots on the main machine- not a bad idea though over loads of linked hubs which can have their problems.
