What do these SpyBot items mean?

  Danoh 14:28 27 Jul 2005

When I ran SpyBot today, two items were picked up and fixed.

Security Risks: Settings (Registry change, fixed)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\AntiVirusDisableNotify!=dword:0

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\FirewallDisableNotify!=dword:0

What could they be caused by? I run Norton Internet Security on XP SP2, with SpyBot, Ad-Aware and A-Squared.

For others reading this, I’d downloaded SpyBot’s Mon 25th July updates but had only run a Search & Destroy today.

It’s great to have a SpyBot team member post at the end, confirming that in my instance, my MS Security Centre’s flags for Firewall and A/V are set to off as I am running Norton Internet Security’s FireWall and A/v instead. I was concerned it might have been some other agent which had tried to override my NIS Firewall and A/V but only managed to get the MS Security Centre’s functions.
