Have a load of files named similar to

$NtUninstallQ811493$

taking up loads of room on my windows directory - got a warning that running out of room, which is why I looked.

Are these the windows update files?
Can they be safely deleted?
Or is it best to back them to a cd rom, for safe keeping in case they are ever needed?

Due to way my PC is set up, enlarging the partition is not an option at this moment in time.

thanks

They are the uninstall files for Windows Updates.

Sometimes the windows upgade, especially for service packs gives yo the option to be able to uninstall the upgrade. If you choose this it keeps a huge amount of data in order to go back. Could this be the problem?
