Weird no internet access; tried numerous solutions

  flamewolf393 20:25 04 Jun 2017

So I can connect to my wireless network, but it has no internet access unless I use tor. Firefox, chrome, steam, league, nothing connects but tor. When I try the troubleshooter, it has an error about connecting to dns server. If I start in safe mode (windows 10) I can connect just fine. All other devices can connect just fine.

Ive tried cmd ip reset, dns flush, using alternate dns servers, scanning for malware (with multiple reliable programs) of which there was none.

What else could it be, what else can I try?

Have you checked to see if Firefox is set to "no proxy"? To check go to the Firefox menu (three bars top right). Click on Options, Advanced, Network, Settings.

Check porxy settings and firewall settings. Being able to connect in Safe mode let me think that you have some settings or firewall restrictions.

Also check device manager to see if any yellow exclamation marks. If using windows Firewall set it to default to see if that makes any difference.

You don't use Eset or Emsisoft do you.
