websites/network connections

I have had a problem ever since I installed SP2 ages ago. I have broadband internet that I connect to via a router (with wires). When I go to a website, a box pops up called network connections. It then gives me a list of connections to choose from. If I hit escapse, the webpage loads up fine, but I'm fed up with it popping up everytime i go to a new site. What's more, the options that come up do not include my actual connection (just some old dialup ones). I am constantly connected to my actual connection, and the network icon is constantly on the bottom of my screen. Any ideas?

Go to control panel remove all old dial-Up connections in Network Connections
