Website redirection

I have an old freeserve based website - click here - but have now purchased a domain name, and established a new website. Many colleagues - near and far - have the old website address. Is there any possible coding to use to redirect them to the new website automatically - ie they key in the old address, but the new domain name appears - as the old one is now obsolete.

Thanks

Copy this tag between the <head></head> tags of your old web page:

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="5; URL=http:
// my_new_web_address">

Note, I've put a space after the URL=http: and after the // to allow the code to display properly, so you need to remove them if you use the code.

Setting the content="5; part of the tag means that there will be a five second delay before the page redirects your visitor.

Setting the value to zero (content="0;) means there will be no delay and the redirect will begin immediately.

It's worth putting a short message on the page to the effect that things have been moved and you will be redirected momentarily. You can also put a static hyperlink on there in case your redirect script does not work for any reason.
