Web Browser Shortcuts not associated with Browser?

  Tinkey Winkey 23:12 16 Nov 2006

I have created a folder on my desktop called 'Web Links'.

I save frequently used web pages by drag 'n' dropping the icon from the left corner of my web browsers address bar into the Web Links folder.
Normally I can double click on the saved shortcut and my web browser opens the web page -easy enough!

Now it has stopped working with the following message:

"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action.
Create an association in the folder options control panel."

Can anyone outline how I can reassociate them please?

'opion' should say option!

Try creating another folder, and drag the contents over to the new folder, make sure you rename it different from the original folder.

No idea if this will work and why,but worth a try.

No - same thing happens.

I managed to reassociate the shortcuts with IE7 and back to the default but in both cases I still get the same error message - very strange?

What's going on anyone?
