Wanted - Senior Coldfusion/SQL Web developer

IDG UK is looking for the lead developer for its four main websites – PCAdvisor.co.uk, Techworld.com, Macworld.co.uk and Digit.co.uk – which generate over 3 million pages views per month. The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with internal departments and external suppliers to realise editorial, commercial and marketing requirements, and will have input to the development of IDG UK’s Web development team and strategy.

You must have a minimum of 3 years commercial Web development experience and will be expected to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Coldfusion, SQL and HTML, as well as Web development methodologies.

Experienced leading small teams developing public-facing Web sites, you should preferably have experience in online publishing. Knowledge of XHTML, CSS, XML and JavaScript would be an advantage, as would experience of user registration, content management, ad delivery and newsletter management systems.

You should be adept at translating business requirements into technical solutions with excellent attention to detail, ideally with experience of working across simultaneous development cycles. You should have experience in establishing and implementing best practice in coding standards, systems architecture and testing strategies.
